وقال الأمين العام للحركة عمار أمون دلدوم، بحسب سودان تربيون، إنّ وفد الحكومة الذي فاوضهم هم في جوبا مؤخر لم يطرح أو يلمح بذلك على الإطلاق.
واضاف “نحن في حرب مع الحكومة، قبل شهر أبريل الماضي قصفت طائرة أنتونوف تابعة للجيش السوداني مدرسة في منطقة الخدرة وقتلت في تلك اللحظة 11 طفلًا تتراوح أعمارهم بين 8 و9 سنوات، وفي نفس اليوم قصفت قرية القنيزية حيث كانت نساء يجلبن الماء من مضخة، قتل على إثر ذلك 5 منهن. نحن في حرب مع الحكومة ولا أتوقع أن يطلبوا منا القتال معهم”.
وكشف القيادي عن توجيه أسئلة مباشرة لوفد الحكومة بقيادة نائب القائد العام للجيش شمس الدين كباشي، قائلاً: ” سألناهم في المفاوضات: من أين لكم هذه الإنسانية؟ وأنتم قبل شهر تقتلون لنا أطفالًا بأعمار 8 و9 سنوات واليوم تتحدثون عن وازع إنساني لإنقاذ الناس من الموت، من أين لكم بهذه الإنسانية المفاجئة؟”.
